Once again, there isn't a virus in the game, but I understand your concern, what did Opera GX say exactly, I use Opera too and tried downloading my own game few moments ago and no problems, could you explain it a bit better? Thanks for commenting
Thanks for playing and making a video on my game, really means a lot! Love the thumbnail too! Little things like restart level button can really help a lot and they're pretty simple to implement, glad that you liked it and wish you all the best!
Only an idiot runs games from any source without being sandboxed. People hack accounts on itch and add malicious code to existing files. Programmers intentionally and accidentally add malicious code. If you don't protect yourself your computer will be compromised, data will be breached (stolen or held for ransom) and your system will become a zombie or destroyed. Itch isn't going to protect you, it is you that has to protect you and antivirus and antimalware programs will not protect you against the newest threats or necessarily catch or stop malicious code from executing. You must run games in a closed environment or sandboxed if you care about your computer. If you don't care what happens because you will just reinstall Windows when finishing a gaming session, that will work also.
First thing, don't call players of my game idiots, because they are not, they are awesome people with love for indie/retro styled games and I'm here to make them.
Second, I don't think that I ever heard of developer accidentaly adding a malicious code in the game, I write my scripts and make my models so that accidental/import option is out of the frame and only way any malicious script or file can be put in game is that I knowingly put it here, which I DID NOT DO, NEVER DID and NEVER WILL.
Thanks for leaving a comment, and sorry that you experienced issues with windows' security system flagging Itch' files, it's not the first time it happened and sadly not the last one, but there is no need to call hundreds, soon to be thousands of players who played my game idiots who don't know basics of how pc's work, take care and best to you!
